Economic Mosaic aims to make economic analysis clear, useful, and intellectually honest. We prioritize accurate sourcing, transparent reasoning, and accessible explanation, and we publish these standards so readers can hold us to them.

Mission

To make economic thinking clear and useful: to explain the systems, incentives, and institutions that shape everyday life in a way serious readers can reason with, not just nod along to.

Analysis and opinion, not fact-checked forecasting

Economic Mosaic publishes explainers, analysis, interviews, and opinion-style essays. These are the writer’s interpretation and argument, not statements of guaranteed fact, and not a prediction readers should rely on. We aim to clearly distinguish what happened, what it means, and what we think should happen — but every piece ultimately reflects the judgment of the person who wrote it at the time it was written. Economic data, policy, and markets change; a piece accurate on its publication date can become outdated without a follow-up notice.

Sourcing, ideas, and attribution

Articles should rely on credible sources: public datasets, academic research, official documents, expert interviews, reputable journalism, and clearly identified primary materials. When an article draws on another publication, dataset, report, or person’s idea, we credit it — through an inline link, a named source, or an explicit citation — rather than presenting someone else’s work as our own. Where a claim rests on a specific source, we aim to make that source visible rather than asserting it from authority.

Corrections

If an article contains an error, we will correct it and, when appropriate, note the correction on the page. Readers can contact us with corrections or concerns at brijesh.m2026@gmail.com. We treat corrections as part of the work, not an embarrassment to hide.

Clarity

We believe economic writing should be understandable without becoming simplistic. The goal is to explain tradeoffs, incentives, systems, and institutions in a way that serious readers can actually use, never to win by sounding complicated.

No guarantees

Economic Mosaic is written and published on a best-effort basis by a small, independent team. We work to get things right, correct errors when we find them, and cite our sources — but we make no warranty, express or implied, about the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of anything published here. Content is provided “as is,” and Economic Mosaic and its writers are not liable for losses or decisions made in reliance on it.

Use of AI

Where AI tools assist with drafting, editing, or research, a human editor is responsible for every published claim: checking sources, verifying reasoning, and standing behind the final piece. AI is a tool in the process, not the author of record.
